Sunday Bible Study – Hope, Holiness and Heaven, A Study of 1st Peter

First Peter gives us a divine perspective on living as strangers in a world that is increasingly hostile to the gospel of Jesus Christ. One of the key themes in Peter’s letter to “God’s elect” is that suffering is often a very real part of the Christian experience. His letter counsels and comforts us in time of adversity and affliction by pointing us to the living hope we have in our relationship with Christ. As people who have the hope of salvation, we are called to a lifestyle of submission and service and are encouraged to see suffering as part of a growth process as we follow the example of Jesus.
